Champagne Blanc De Blancs
Blancs de blancs made exclusively from white grapes, generally Chardonnay. Other white grape varieties can be used: Arbane, Petit Meslier, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris, but these varieties have become rare in Champagne at less than 1% of the Champagne vineyard. Chardonnay has gradually established itself as the dominant grape variety for Blancs de Blancs Champagne. It represents on average about a third of the cultivated area of the Champagne vineyard, except in the region south of Epernay and more precisely between the villages of Cuis and Bergère-Lès-Vertus, where the sector called the Côte des Blancs represents almost -all of the more than 3,000 hectares planted with an occupancy rate of over 94%. We love this aromatic, chalky, saline complexity and this finesse on the palate.
It is a champagne produced exclusively from white grapes, ie generally Chardonnay. Blanc de blancs champagnes are very sophisticated champagnes. A classic Blanc de Blancs is sober and elegant when young, but with aging it develops an enveloping brioche richness that is layered with an intense expression of fruitiness.
