About Champagne Collet
Maison de Champagne Collet: Elegance in the service of excellence.
Founded in 1921, the Champagne House Collet is one of the oldest Champagne cooperatives. Its history is rooted in Aÿ, a prestigious village in the heart of the Champagne vineyards, the birthplace of the greatest crus. Born from a movement of passionate winemakers seeking to preserve the authenticity of champagne in the face of industrial challenges, Champagne Collet has been perpetuating exceptional craftsmanship for over a century, blending tradition and innovation.
An exceptional terroir for champagnes of excellence
Champagne Collet sources its grapes from a carefully selected range of Premier and Grand Cru vineyards, spread across the finest parcels of Champagne. This diverse terroir allows the creation of champagnes with rich aromas and unique complexity, in perfect harmony with gastronomy.
A refined style, balancing elegance and character
Each cuvée is crafted with a meticulous blend of the three Champagne grapes – Chardonnay for finesse and elegance, Pinot Noir for power and structure, and Pinot Meunier for roundness and indulgence.
A heritage, craftsmanship, and a signature of exception
With its history firmly rooted in its terroir and resolutely looking towards the future, Champagne Collet continues to elevate the art of champagne by offering cuvées that match the most special moments.

The Essentials
Collet Champagnes: A Legacy of Elegance and Perfection
Collet champagnes stand out for their extended aging process (a minimum of 4 years, up to 10 years for exceptional cuvées) in the historic chalk cellars of Aÿ. This long maturation imparts a fine, silky bubble, a generous texture, and a rare aromatic palette of remarkable elegance.
A Commitment to Perfection
Driven by rigor and passion, the Maison Collet has established itself as a benchmark in the world of gastronomic champagnes. Exclusively distributed to wine merchants, restaurateurs, and fine food stores, it captivates connoisseurs and sommeliers worldwide, seeking authenticity and refinement.
The Maison Collet offers a range of refined champagnes, designed for those who appreciate a sensory experience:
Brut Art Déco 1er Cru: Inspired by the Roaring Twenties, this champagne combines freshness and brioche aromas, perfect for an aperitif or fine dishes.
Blanc de Blancs 1er Cru: A fine and fresh cuvée, revealing citrus and white flower notes with an elegant minerality.
Blanc de Noirs 1er Cru: Charms with its power and generosity, offering ripe fruit aromas and a beautiful, rich structure.
Extra Brut 1er Cru: Combines purity and intensity, with citrus aromas and a mineral finish of great precision.
Esprit Couture: The prestige cuvée, crafted from an assemblage of Premier and Grand Crus, embodies absolute elegance with its silky texture, refined complexity, and delicate aromas.
In 1911, the Champagne Revolt broke out, bringing together 6,000 winemakers determined to protect the authenticity of the grapes used in champagne production. The village of Aÿ, at the heart of this uprising, became a symbol of resistance when properties of merchants suspected of using grapes from outside the region were set on fire. In response to the scale of the riots, the government sent more than 40,000 soldiers to restore order.
February 11, 1911 marked a decisive turning point with the adoption of the first law requiring the mention "Vins originaires de la Champagne Viticole" (Wines from the Champagne Vineyards) on labels. This legal recognition initiated a lengthy process, paved with several successive laws, culminating in the official delimitation of the Champagne AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) zone in 1936.

Since 1921, Maison Collet has been crafting characterful champagnes with a commitment to satisfying a discerning clientele seeking authenticity, elegance, and exceptional finesse. Based in Aÿ, in the heart of Champagne, Maison Collet primarily sources its grapes from Premier and Grand Cru vineyards, reflecting the diverse terroirs of the region. Collet Champagne is a wine of haute gastronomy, with each cuvée carefully developed to pair perfectly with every occasion, from aperitifs to the finest dishes.
For its 100th anniversary in 2021, the cooperative entered a new era and boldly broke its silence to share its history, expertise, and the excellence of its iconic brand, Champagne Collet. The Maison embarked on a major initiative to highlight its heritage by opening La Cité du Champagne Collet-Cogevi, a historical and cultural complex that includes the Cogevi House, Villa Collet dedicated to Art Deco and artists, a tour of the production site, and its 1882-1883 cellars, as well as a wine library with a collection of 30,000 bottles. In 2015, a Champagne trades museum and an auditorium were added. With this new historical milestone, COGEVI once again demonstrates its boldness and affirms its legitimacy in telling the story of a terroir that its members have passionately contributed to for nearly a century.
